This opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting. The position is designed for those who are passionate about helping young students develop essential skills to succeed academically and socially. This contract role spans the current school year and is based in Leonardtown, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.
- Assess students needs and develop customized intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and the educational team.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Occupational Therapy License.
- Experience working with elementary school students preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within scheduled school hours (~7:15 AM to 3:00 PM).
- Commitment to supporting student development through evidence-based therapy practices.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located at one of four elementary schools in Leonardtown, MD.
- Full-time contract position for the current school year, starting ASAP through June 9th.
